Head, thorax, and abdomen black, with an orange band above frons and lateral orange stripes on head, tegule, and patagia ; palpi orange at base below; coxe orange; tarsi ringed with white; abdomen with lateral orange stripes varying in length and not extending to terminal segments, the first three segments and a spot on 4th ventrally orange. Fore wing orange-yellow, with a curved black streak at base; a broad medial blue-black band with irregularly sinuous edges ; a large apical blue-black patch, its inner edge angled outwards towards termen at vein 5. Hind wing fuscous, with semihyaline patch in and below cell; orange spots on costa at base and before apex. Ab. 1. ceramboides. Fore wing with the orange area mostly suffused with fuscous. Hab.
